Uttarakhand was greeted by cool weather on Saturday morning i.e., 3rd November, 2018. A cool weather greeted the people of Uttarakhand on Saturday and light to moderate rain and snowfall was witnessed to reach the higher. According to the State Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature that was recorded was 23.4°C while the minimum temperature was pegged at 14.5°C.
Places like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Pithoragarh and Almora have experienced the highest snowfall. Not just this, but in Uttarkashi too the sudden weather change has cheered the tourism industry. The state is now likely to get heavy tourist footfall in the upcoming days.
Gangotri Shrine, Harsil, Sukhi Top and some of the nearby places are covered with thick sheet of white snow.
